Su Youpeng (Alec Su) as Bai XiaonianBorn in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, Li Bingbing (李冰冰) first studied to become a high school teacher, but after graduation joined the Shanghai Drama Institute. She has performed in a variety of movie and television productions, with her film debut in the 1999 film Seventeen Years. She has received several acting nominations, winning the 2007 Huabiao Award for Best Actress for her role in The Knot. Li Bingbing’s performance in The Message earned her the 46th Golden Horse (Taiwan) Best Actress award, presented on November 28th, 2009.

In 2009, she published her autobiography, Li Bingbing: Ten Years in Film, which chronicles her path to becoming a star; the actress plans to donate copyright royalties to the United Nations Children’s Fund. In addition to her acting career, Li Bingbing has been given the honorary title in South Korea as a Cultural Ambassador for China.
